Spanish Pimsleur 1

The program I used was the Spanish I program on CD's, and it was 30 lessons. I needed to learn Spanish to participate at a midwifery clinic, where most of the clients only spoke Spanish.

I had tried many other programs to learn Spanish. The Pimsleur program was much more expensive, but it was worth the cost. The program is designed to get the student speaking the language by having them participate in conversations.

The first ones are simple. Each lesson adds a few new words, and uses them in conversation. It was very effective at helping me learn to use the language. It was also great about helping me to have correct pronunciation, so that others could understand me. All the others just helped me with vocabulary and confusion. I could not have served the clients at the clinic without this program. I was very impressed with it. Every so often I go through the lessons again, just to improve my Spanish. It is still working for me.
